Obama Torches Troy Polamalu in VIDEO
Troy Polamalu was torched on the White House lawn by Barrack Obama? Who said the President hasn’t done anything since he has taken office? Sure Troy will be out again Sunday and has been hurt this season as he suffers through the dreaded Madden Curse, but to be burned by the cigarette smoker is just unthinkable. But in the video below, Saints QB Drew Brees can clearly be seen ignoring the wide open American children (isn’t that who the United We Serve and Play 60 programs are targeted at helping?) in the pass pattern as he forces the ball into [...]
It Wasn’t Us
The aftermath of the NL Rookie of the Year is nearly over at Rum Bunter. Before we officially let it go, be sure to check out this Florida Marlin site. The Marlin Maniac agrees with us Pittsburgh. Because Michael spits nothing but truth we pulled a couple paragraphs with his take on the vote…. be sure to read all about it when you check out his site: Was that difference really significant to make up for the fact that McCutchen played center field while Coghlan played left field? And that, by all accounts, McCutchen was a decent center fielder, while Coghlan was rated by [...]
Brock Lesnar Illness Revealed, Terry Bradshaw Jinx, Steeler Fan Drinks Anti-Freeze Roofie, Max Talbot Superstar Treatment
So, are you over the loss yet? If so, read onward. We were just listening to the Hines Ward show. Wonder what he was talking to Ocho Cinco about before the game? Chad was suggesting touchdown dances. His suggestion? The Pee Wee Herman dance. I will spare you the video. Aha! So this is explains the Steelers loss. The Terry Bradshaw jinx. Brock Lesnar is in a world of hurt It’s hard to get by without your colon. A reminder to all of the fans headed to Baltimore in two weeks. Be careful when someone buys you a drink. Blinded [...]
Andrew McCutchen was pencil whipped yesterday by some clueless old Journalism majors. Despite the following facts listed below he didn’t win the Rookie of the Year. Apparently, new, more performance based stats are available to the writers that are unknown to the rest of the lowly baseball public. Not that McCutchen needs another award, because the man can hear silence, but when a robbery happens in broad daylight RumBunter felt obligated to investigate. We were able to uncover the ballot shown above and then it got real interesting. Heh, wasn’t Coghlan from that state that had the hanging chad too? [...]
Roberto Clemente Museum: The Great One Would Be Proud
The Roberto Clemente Museum is housed in the former Engine House 25 in Lawrenceville, PA. Trust me when I say, YOU MUST SEE IT. Make it a New Year’s resolution, bucket list, whatever, but you must see it. Duane Rieder is the owner, curator, and driving force behind the museum. Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe it. As you know, Pittsburgh has incredible history as a baseball town. The fact that one man, a photographer by trade, has gone to such great lengths and expense to preserve a vital portion of the legacy is remarkable. I was impressed by the collection, but also saddened to find [...]
And The 2009 NL Rookie of the Year is….
The announcement is hours away for the 2009 National League Rookie of the Year. Of course, Andrew McCutchen is the only one true candidate, but to make everyone happy let’s take a look at the ”other” candidates. After the jump…
Jack Wilson is a rich man. The Mariners signed him this afternoon, of course, financial terms weren’t disclosed, but reportedly the deal is two years for $10 million. “I am extremely excited for the opportunity the Mariners have given me to continue my career in Seattle,” said Wilson. “I am looking forward to competing for a world championship in 2010.” ( I am not sure if Jack knows the World Baseball Classic was this year ) Wilson batted .224 with one home run and eight RBI in 31 games for Seattle after being traded from the Pirates. A bruised right heel [...]
Manny and His Boys
The Roberto Clemente Museum post will be coming next week. In the meantime enjoy another great photo.
