       Andrew McCutchen was pencil whipped yesterday by some clueless old Journalism majors.  Despite the following facts listed below he didn’t win the Rookie of the Year.  Apparently, new, more performance based stats are available to the writers that are unknown to the rest of the lowly baseball public. Not that McCutchen needs another award, because the man can hear silence, but when a robbery happens in broad daylight RumBunter felt obligated to investigate.  We were able to uncover the ballot shown above and then it got real interesting.  Heh, wasn’t Coghlan from that state that had the hanging chad too? The Roberto Clemente Museum is housed in the former Engine House 25 in Lawrenceville, PA.  Trust me when I say, YOU MUST SEE IT.   Make it a New Year’s resolution,  bucket list, whatever, but you must see it.   Duane Rieder is the owner, curator, and driving force behind the museum.  Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe it.   As you know, Pittsburgh has incredible history as a baseball town.  The fact that one man, a photographer by trade, has gone to such great lengths and expense to preserve a vital portion of the legacy is remarkable. Jack Wilson is a rich man.  The Mariners signed him this afternoon, of course, financial terms weren’t disclosed, but reportedly the deal is two years for $10 million. “I am extremely excited for the opportunity the Mariners have given me to continue my career in Seattle,” said Wilson. “I am looking forward to competing for a world championship in 2010.” ( I am not sure if Jack knows the World Baseball Classic was this year ) Wilson batted .224 with one home run and eight RBI in 31 games for Seattle after being traded from the Pirates.  A bruised right heel [...]
