Kimbo Slice is Back (Again)

Kimbo Slice will be back in the cage tomorrow night.  Sound familar? Houston Alexander will be the opponent standing in front of Kimbo.

“My style is pretty much the same. I’ve developed a little ground here and there , which I don’t like to use in a fight. I like to stand up, knock a guy out, or get knocked out,” Kimbo said in a conference call from Las Vegas Thursday.

“Wherever it goes, it goes. From the cage, to the street, in the hotel, it’s whatever man, I came here to fight.”

Not sure if the Palms will have coverage if the fight spills over to the hotel, but Spike TV will have all the action in the cage.

Other than both being strikers, the fighters have something else in common. Six kids. Alexander is 37 and Slice is 35. Don’t let their age fool you. Both are young to MMA.

“I’m not afraid to get hit,” said Alexander. Alexander has been hit plenty in his past three appearances in the Octagon. James the Sandman Irvin dropped Alexander (9-4-1) in eight seconds with a Superman punch, Eric Schaffer schooled him on the ground in September 2008, his last appearance in the UFC.

It says here, this will be the slugfest it is hyped to be.  Don’t miss it.  Alexander will get hit plenty Saturday at the Palms. A hotel room will not be necessary.
