When Lastings Milledge finished discussing ‘not taking baseball for granted’ his teammate, Ross Ohlendorf immediately jumped into the conversation with this comment below.

I brought a lot of stuff on myself with previous organizations. I didn’t take the game very seriously. I was always blessed with talent. After I was drafted, I took a lot of things for granted. I started to work a little harder, doing the things that got me drafted and not taking things for granted. Once I got traded here, it was a clean slate. And I tried to take advantage of everything offered to me.”

The Pittsburgh Pirates will open an upscale luxury members-only lounge on April 5, 2010.  Club Cambria is located on the private suite level of the ballpark.  It’s quite an expansive layout consisting of four standard suites on the third base side, allowing everyone to bask in the beautiful Pittsburgh skyline while watching the Bucs trounce the opposition. Aki Iwamura will be the Pirates second baseman this season.  As I drive around our nation’s capital, everywhere you look someone is making a deal happen.  My thoughts about the Pirates biggest offseason acquisition came to mind.  He’s been described as a work a holic and his numbers have always been solid. Every teammate that speaks about Aki seems to talk like they are talking about their best buddy. Classy guy. Pirate fans, do you love when your favorite Pirate hits a homerun?  We sure do.  HitTrackerOnline does too.  There is NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.   HitTracker is a great site that loves the homerun ball.  I mean, really loves it.  I barely got this post online because it’s overwhemingly addicting.  Go ahead click over to it, hell, I can’t blame you. Pirate fans overtook Uniontown Mall last evening creating lines that would make Santa Claus jealous.  

The Pirates Caravan Kickoff was last evening at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.   We came off the slopes to find 250 people lined up at the Convention Hall doors.  At 4pm!  The Pirates faithful wouldn’t let a wet, dreary day spoil their fun. And the Pirates did their part to ensure the crowd didn’t leave empty handed.   Pirates were available for autographs and also worked the numerous carnival style games throughout the evening.  Psst…Heh Pirates owner Bob Nutting.  You will need a bigger ballroom next year.  The Pirates absolutely ripped up the Convention Hall last night.  It was phenomenal.  Sure, the lines were excrutiating long [...]
