The Pittsburgh Pirates attempt to revenge the ultimate humilation.  Last year, the Bucs fell to the hated Manatte Community College Lancers, 6- 4 in their annual scrimmage.  Yeh, that wasn’t a nightmare.  We firmly believe that  Bradenton which is known as ’The Friendly City/Little Bit of Paradise,’ will turn into a ‘Vengeful/Hell’  for these  college pranksters.

What a difference 14 months make.  Our beloved Pirates sit as a big underdog with  125 to 1 odds for winning the 2010 World Series.   Take a deep breath.  I have been staring at this board all night long. 

Frank Coonelly picked up the phone and addressed the ‘dynasty’ comments on The Fan yesterday.   That was commendable.

The Day Five Spring Training

The top three left fielders in the NL Central produce in big ways. Compare their RBI totals from last season to the players manning the other corner outfield spot in the NL Central.  Do you think it would be a close?  Nope.   Ryan Braun, Carlos Lee and Matt Holliday all drove in at least 100 runs in 2009.
Take a look at the last three years of RBI production from Braun and you find an average of 106 per year.  Lee averaged 107.  Holliday pounded in 111 runs.  Sick.
