Pirates Potential Milestones in 2010

AUTHOR: | IN: Pittsburgh Pirates | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Pittsburgh Pirates have important milestones that could be reached during the 2010 season.  When the Bucs raise the jolly roger for the 71st time this year, John Russell will have 200 wins in his managerial career for the Bucs.  It will put the Bucs skipper at number 15 on the Pirates Manager All-Time Win List. ~~~~ Paul Gurner Maholm could reach 1000 innings pitched in his career with a healthy 2010.  Maholm would need to pitch 204 innings.  He pitched 206.1 in 2008 and 194.2 last season.  After Maholm went yard last year, Maholm needs just 474 homers

Victoria’s Secret Models in Pirate Gear?

AUTHOR: | IN: Pittsburgh Pirates | COMMENTS: None Yet

We swore to God the Pirates were involved in something hot. Victoria’s Secret models were in my dreams.  But it was just that, a dream.   A hot dream.  With MLB having 45 percent of its’ fans from the hot female persuasion, why in the name of heaven wouldn’t the Bucs force their way into this dream deal?  Ugh. The MLB teams who were savvy enough to be involved are the Angels, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Mets, Padres, Phillies, Red Sox, Twins, White Sox and Yankees.  What the hell is this?  Only the sexy people?   Anyway, as they say in the music business, [...]
