Dejan just tweeted that Pittsburgh Pirates manager John Russell said Neil Walker will play the ‘majority’ of  time at second base.  Aki Iwamura is going to the bench.  It’s an interesting comment after GM Neal Huntington responded to a Greg Brown question yesterday by saying that Walker ‘could’ be considered for one position rather than being moved around the ball field. I’m so confused.  Life comes at you fast.  I am going to go back to reading my MLB Bonus Baby top 100 prospects list and this story at FanGraphs where they recommend what the Bucs should do with the number two pick.

I am a huge Dennis Hopper fan.  RIP Dennis. We were inspired by Hopper from his Nike commercials at the bottom of this post so much so that we had to do our own version for my favorite team the Pittsburgh Pirates. We wrote our knockoffs over the winter and filmed a few weeks back.  The Nike commercials were done so well, they were eventually pulled.  Hopper was just too convincing.    Our versions didn’t even get 300 views.  Oh well.  I never had heard of Dennis Hopper until I saw Apocalypse Now.  It was a wonderful discovery. Andrew McCutchen is back in the correct spot in the batting order.  Cutch will be leading off for the Pirates tonight against the Atlanta Braves.  I like the move.   Ronny Cedeno and Andy LaRoche are also starting tonight for the Pirates who are attempting to get back on track and avoid going ten games under .500 prior to Memorial Day.  Neil Walker gets another start for the Pirates at second base.  Andy LaRoche is back in the lineup after ripping a ball last night showed no signs of continued back discomfort for the Pirates third baseman.  Garrett Jones is in [...]
