Pirates Cursed By Slash Of Mustache = Winless In Eleven
The Pittsburgh Pirates grew mustaches recently after a losing streak in Atlanta. The team played better and won some games as their ‘stache grew in for most every player (of course Aki didn’t.) The team lost a game and most every player slashed their stache. Bad idea fellas. Especially when Pitt Football Coach Dave Wannstache was in the front row last night. The lesson? There are some things in life you don’t mess with like Batman’s Cake, Orcas, and Slim. Uptown got its hustler, The North Side got its bums, Federal Street got big GFJ, He’s a baseball killin’ son of a gun [...]
Pedro Alvarez Change We Can Believe In
Some Pittsburgh Pirates are thrilled to see Pedro Alvarez. Most Pittsburgh Pirates fans are overjoyed to see Pedro man the hot corner at PNC Park. But some in the Pittsburgh media felt the need to look like hillbillies by ripping how the Bucs called up Pedro. It was definently bizarre and predicted right here at RumBunter and captured in another well written article by Pittsburgh Lumber Company . Some Pirates fans feel the need to boo the star prospect during the eleventh straight loss. He did fail in key situations Pirates fans. New Bucs has all of the whiffs in [...]
Pirates Ban Hillbillies From PNC Park
PITTSBURGH–The Pirates lost their eleventh game in a row and the team now sits 20 games under .500 at 23-43. Something needed to be done and the Pirates management acted in a stealth like manner when the Pirates President announced that hillbillies will no longer be allowed at PNC Park. It was a bold move by an organization that is desperately trying to rebuild its’ fan base. From the Pirates statement: “If you own a
What Joe Sheehan Said About Pedro and Huntington
I enjoy the work of Joe Sheehan. I subscribe to his newsletter. It’s very underrated. I am not good at sharing, but I value you taking the time to stop by and visit. You should subscribe to Sheehan’s rag, you would be smarter. A lot smarter. The Joe Sheehan Newsletter Vol. II, No. 19 June 16, 2010 Pedro Alvarez, who was a hyped prospect before Stephen Strasburg redefined the concept, will be promoted by the Pirates tonight to make his major-league debut. The left-handed-hitting third baseman was the fourth pick in the 2008 draft out of Vanderbilt. His selection was [...]
Pirates Admit Pitching Sucks, Hire Auctioneer
The Pittsburgh Pirates pitching is awful. Tonight they will hold an auction for a tutorial with Pirates pitching coach Joe Kerrigan and Paul Maholm, the one pitcher who has sucked the least. It appears Kerrigan and Maholm are tired of giving away their advice for free? Charlie Morton, Dana Eveland, Zach Duke….hell, the registration line for the auction will be long. The bidding is going to be wild. Stay tuned. Hat tip: 3rdBoss

Pirates Fall Flat in Alvarez Debut
Pedro Alvarez, Welcome To Pittsburgh [Pics]
The boos were real. A small portion of fans walked out mid-inning on the Pirates. Some of the jeers included these hilljack originals: Heh Alvarez, grab your first basemans glove! Yeh, Russell you really look like you deserve one more year! The Pirates were dominated by the booger picker/gold digger. The Pirates offense looked lifeless throughout most of the night. We took a picture of the dugout in the ninth inning, right after the error fest. Nobody was getting their tail kicked by management. Does not seeing some ass chewing scare you away? One more after the continue reading button [...]
Batting Sixth For the Pittsburgh Pirates….Pedro Alvarez
Pedro Alvarez Knock the Snot Out of This Booger Picker
Pedro Alvarez makes his professional debut in just a few hours. Left handed picher (very key phrase when looking at the above photo) John Danks will be on the mound for the Chicago White Sox. It won’t be an easy task against Danks, who is 5-5 with a 3.27 ERA. The lefty was dominant against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday. He threw seven scoreless innings. I won’t be around to write stupid suff, cuz we are headed down to our seats, so I leave you with these. A great excuse to get rid of some pictures I no longer will ever need. And [...]
