Lincoln Wrecked In Houston

The Pittsburgh Pirates Brad Lincoln was smacked around

like Dad’s car last night as the Astros rolled up a 6-2 victory.  The Pirates kept on swinging and missing too, as Houston Astros starter Wandy Rodriguez rolled through the Bucs free swinging lineup with relative ease.

The Astros cruised past the Bucs behind some long rides by Carlos Lee (11) and Lance Berkman to give the Astros their fourth victory this season in four tries against the Pirates.  The sound the train makes pisses me off so bad.  I hate Minute Maid.  I will never drink or buy their product again.  I am an apple juice guy from here to eternity.

The Pirates extended their awful record in Houston to 5-14 in the last 19 games.  The Astros owned the Bucs last season when they took two of three in each series and have beaten the Pirates all four games this season.

The Pirates were held hitless by Wandy Rodriguez in every inning last night except the fourth which started with four of the first five Bucs hitters reaching base with singles.  The rally quickly ended when veteran Bobby “I Will Never Give Up the Pictures” Crosby popped out and Lincoln struck out.

It was the Pirates only big threat of the game.  Neil Walker and Andrew McCutchen reached in the first inning, but were stranded when Garrett Jones lined out to right center field and Pedro Alvarez went down to end the frame.

Rodriguez struck out ten Pirates before he exited the game in the seventh.
