There wasn’t a person I know, spoke with, tweeted, or texted that thought Jackie Evancho could lose America’s Got Talent.  Perhaps that was the problem.  Why would anyone vote when it’s obvious this ten-year old is a superstar in the making?   “Surely she is going to win she doesn’t need my vote,” was a popular sentiment and one we

discouraged.

With ratings through the roof, it all played out for NBC last night.  After performances by Usher, Jewel, Goo Goo Dolls, David Copperfield, Lionel Richie, Sarah Brightman, Donna Summer and Cirque du Soleil, the talented Michael Grimm was named the winner of the show.  Grimm looked as shocked as everyone watching it in our house.  It was a shocker.

But it appeared one person wasn’t shocked.  Jackie kept her composure, and if you watched her closely she exuded class well beyond her years.

We’re not the least bit surprised.  Nor are we surprised with her quote:

“I hope I’ll be able to sing for you again.”

Yes, we have a feeling you will be able to do just that Jackie.
