` As you know, the Pittsburgh Pirates have many decisions to make this offseason. Many think that the Bucs will need to evaluate how well they feel John Russell has performed.  We’re not here to say he should stay or go.  We don’t have enough information to make a call like that- excuse me…ahem.  But if Frank Coonelly and Neal Huntington decide that Russell should go, there is a viable candidate that should definently be granted an interview.

The Pirates are now 50 games under .500 for the 2010 season.  The team has 98 losses.  Doumit is 5-for-70 at throwing at baserunners.  The Bucs are on pace to lose 109 games.  The Pirates are 6-45 on the road in the past 51 games and 15-59 for the season. In the NL the Bucs are the worst in runs scored, worst in hits, worst in RBI, worst in OBP, worst in OPS, worst in average, worst ERA in MLB, highest WHIP, allowed the most hits and runs in MLB….let’s stop there, because….yeh, it’s bad, but `

The Pittsburgh Pirates are now inventing ways to lose. The Bucs had a 5-0 lead last evening. The Bucs made sure it didn’t last long. In a myriad of mockery to the game, this group of professionals showed that they are bound and determined to be the worst fielding team in MLB. And people are saying there won’t be a ”triple crown” winner this season.  With a few more games like this the Pirates could be worst in fielding, pitching, and hitting.
