In Pittsburgh, the Pirates are

busy interviewing managers in order to try and turn around 18 years of losing.  Across town, it couldn’t be more exciting as the Penguins open Consol Energy Center tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers.  Rumors of Mario’s return to the ice are filling talk radio today, now that would be epic.  Yeh, it’s pretty exciting in the ‘Burgh.  But nothing compares to Philadelphia today.

Philly is one town in this great country where baseball fans are enjoying playoff baseball.  Record setting playoff baseball actually and Fansided has it all covered for you.

Our favorite guy is Philadelphia Phillies writer Justin Klugh and he nails his wrapup of last nights no-hitter by Harry LeRoy Halladay.  He also has some fun with Orlando Cabrera.   Justin can flat out write, so keep up on his stuff this postseason.  Here’s an example of one of my favorite lines:

"“But in this town, we like our pitchers perfect and our cities destroyed in celebration.”–That Balls Outta Here, JK"

Another friend of RumBunter, Andrew Corselli is the man at Yanks Go Yard enjoys the first outdoor playoff game in Minnesota since the boys were in ‘Nam.   Mo had to get four outs in the Yanks victory.  Andrew has it all covered including some interesting facts.

Over at the sites of the first game losers, life isn’t so happy.  Steve never saw it coming at Blog Red Machinewhile  Fetch at Twinkie Talk called it a horrible strike zone.
