Pirates Don't Impress Mayo In Arizona Fall Ball

Jonathan Mayo has his top 20 players that impressed him in the Arizona Fall League.  Hmm…the Pirates didn’t impress him.  Somehow Mike Montgomery’s  two good and one awful performance stood out, but Andrew Lambo’s season didn’t stand out enough to make the top 20.  Those last ten at-bats really hurt huh.

Tony Sanchez didn’t stand out because in his last ten games he hit .158 with a .659 OPS.

We thought Josh Harrison could have made the list, especially considering he did nothing but put hits on the board.  But when you look at all the sexy names on Mayo’s list, Harrison is far from a big name and has been under the radar  of the big writers.  But Harrisons numbers are anything but quiet.

wasnt it Lambo who lit up Montgomery in that “awful” game this fall? Mayo’s list is pretty much a top prospect list, 1-20 and had nothing to do with the performances in the AFL. Just another safe article where the writer comes up with absolutely nothing new.
