Latimore Continues Dominance In Austrailan Baseball League Action

For the second time this season, the RumBunter Player of the Week honors go to Quincy Latimore for his

performance in the Austrailian Baseball League.  The pride of Raleigh, North Carolina just keeps putting up impressive numbers in the ABL.   He has a six game hitting streak and has hit safely in nine of the past ten games for the third place Adelaide Bite.

Latimore was the ninth player in Pirates Minor League history to drive in 100 runs in a season this year.  For those efforts Latimore was named to the postseason FSL All-Star team. For the Marauders, Latimore ripped 19 bombs and 31 doubles.

One would think that was a helluva season and Q would head back to Carolina for some rest.  But not Latimore, he is still playing.  Latimore is also doing what Pirates fans hoped he would, dominate the ABL.  Without question, Latimore is polishing off an outstanding year.

Q has the highest average in the ABL at .417. He has an insane OPS of 1.245, with 47 total bases, and 25 hits–all of which land his atop the league. Latimore also has smashed the most homers with five and has driven in the most runs.

The icing on the cake for Q’s season would be if he can have success in the ABL playoffs.  The Bite are on a three game losing skid heading into today which has dropped them two games back in the standings.
