The Adelaide Bite are in the stretch run for the Australian Baseball League playoffs. A familar face has returned to the lineup in Pirates outfielder Quincy Latimore. The left fielder has been been in the starting line-up the past two nights. “Q” was hurt while attempting to catch a foul ball during the Melbourne series and had not played since January 6.
It didn’t take “Q” long to get back on track and for the Bite to snap their losing streak. Latimore had a two-run double and walked to help the Bite to a 6-1 victory over the Brisbane Bandits.
After three straight victories, the playoff positioning for the Bite (21-16) is looking better and they still have a shot to be at the top of the bracket which is currently held by Pirth (22-14.)
