I’m still skeptical of defensive statistics and ranking Aki as a better on defense than Cutch or Walker makes me even more so. Walker and Cutch certainly weren’t contending for the gold glove, but Aki looked like his legs were made of concrete while roaming second base for us.

McCutchen should improve defensively because the Bucs corner outfielders should be better. Tabata has more abikity than Milledge. As long as Diaz is playing rightfield. Walker should improve since he only needs to be concerned about second base. Alvarez should improve as he matures. Jones and Doumit are inept defensively so Overbay and Snyder have to be improvements. That leaves shortstop which is horrendous but doesn’t appear to be improving any time soon.
