Reaction:

Wimboslice won't ever, in my opinion, be a starter in MLB. That said, he can be a useful tool on someone's bench, but the proliferation / current trend of carrying 13 pitchers on a roster ends up hurting guys like him.

(p.s., it's "wreak" havoc.)

Brown is no surprise - there was virtually no chance of him making the 25-man, even if the Bucs do ::shudder:: carry 3 catchers (which I'm being forced to truly contemplate - Snyder is out again today. Gah.). JJ has the leg up on ol' Dusty by virtue of familiarity, even if he did hit for shit last year.

Marte - This one's a little more on the "too close to call" side of things, IMO. I thought for sure the Pearce's remaining option destined him for Indy, but I'm also very glad he's getting his chance, even if it is at the expense of Marte, who would be, at best, a reclamation project that we could flip at or around deadline time for someone with a little value. I also realize the preceding sentence was wildly run-on, however I also think it had a coherence that made it readable.

Marte's demotion certainly makes the final spot between JJ / Rodriguez (I refuse to call him "JRod - it's so lazy) /Bowker - alas, with Snyder being hurt AGAIN, it may mean we lose Bowker, and that's something I think would be a mistake.
