Pittsburgh Pirate President Archibald Coonelly has not been a happy executive in recent weeks.
It seems that owner Big Bob Nutting's brother Bill has instructed him to "stick around Pittsburgh" for the first couple weeks of the 2011 season.
This will highly interfere with Coonelly's penchant for wine, dance & song in the many corners of the world.
Coonelly (if you haven't noticed) has taken on a more "haggard" look in recent weeks.
A strange transition from how he normally sees himself styled in high priced haircuts & designer threads purchased on exclusive walkways.
"I'm going to battle through this, but once we get past the first home stand.....I am cha-cha-cha'ing out of the city of Pittsburgh."
The ever mysterious Bill Nutting had little to say in response as the two had a rare two-minute chat by cell phone before the Pirate home opener.
"Well....I'd rather you stayed till May, but I understand the hankerin' you have for travel", said Brother Bill.
"If someone told me I couldn't slop the hogs, I'd be burned up too. But we're the own-ees of this business. When the slaw hits the fan, we gotta catch some of it."
"I'll deal with it for now Bill", said Coonelly......"But don't expect to see me again till at least the 4th of July. I've helped to put you on the path to a NL Championship.
What more do you people want from me?"
