10th Anniversary of PNC Park: Morton Looks To Make It Electric
By Tom Smith
The Pittsburgh Pirates ten game stretch continues tonight at PNC Park. It’s the young girls birthday. The party got started early this morning. Please tell me you didn’t miss it.
Think you can tell Clint what to do?
You know who you’re talking to?
DeGeneration Hurdle.
IT’S BEEN A WHILE ROCKIES STARTER:
The second overall pick in 2006, Greg Reynolds hasn’t been in the bigs for three years. He came back in 2010 after another shoulder surgery, but watched his strikeout numbers fall at Double-A. Of course, Reynolds got the call after Ubaldo Jimenez was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a torn cuticle on his thumb.
Back in 2008 Reynolds had a 8.26 ERA in 13 starts.
CALL TO THE PEN:
The Bucs bullpen dropped it’s ERA to 2.37 after throwing 11+ scoreless in last night’s marathon.
FIREWORKS TONIGHT FOR THE PARTY:
Jose Tabata looks to keep his hot streak alive before Zambelli puts on the 10th Birthday show for PNC Park.
BIG NUMBERS:
Tabata has the most hits in the National League since the All-Star break last season. He also has hit safely in every game.
All from a leadoff spot that few people felt he would excel in during this season.
ELECTRIC STUFF:
Last time out, Charlie Morton allowed just three hits, one earned run, but walked five in six innings against the Cardinals.
To say I am excited about Charlie is not true. The Photoshops we are working on are pretty cool…have to get to work on them. Go Bucs.
