4.20: Electric Stuff Takes On Marlins

facebooktwitterreddit

Charlie Morton, The XFIP, and the Electric Stuff head to Sun Life Stadium tonight to take on the Marlins and RHP Ricky Nolasco.

Morton is coming into Miami off of a complete game win against the Reds, the XFIP is strong, the hater/realist line is building as evidenced by the article below, and once again Electric Stuff will not be televised in Pittsburgh.

Morton’s turnaround could mean real trouble for the Marlins who have had trouble against Morton in the past.  The Fish have just 16 hits against the Pirates right hander in 27 innings for a whooping .170 average.

The Marlins right hander has an ERA of 4.05 in three starts. Against Atlanta on Thursday he allowed six hits and five runs while going five innings.

Nolasco has worked 20 innings in 2011 and has issued just one walk.  But he has allowed four bombs this season. Attention Pedro Alvarez. Attention. May I have your attention please….

Nolasco has 38 strikeouts in 42.2 innings against the Bucs.  His ERA is near 2 against Pittsburgh and unfortunately he has never surrendered a home run when pitching against Pittsburgh.
