It’s official. As we discussed last week, Josh Rodriguez is now a Cleveland Indian once again. Rodriguez will be tearing it up for their Columbus team in AAA.
In December, the Pirates wrote a $50,000 check to Cleveland to make Rodriguez the first overall pick in the Rule 5 Draft. He had one hit in 12 at-bats with the Bucs, a dribbled infield single. In AAA last season, Rodriguez showed some pop with 12 bombs and 23 doubles in 86 games with the Clippers.
The Tribe paid the Pirates $25,000 to get him back on the roster.
