Indians Stroke A Check To Get Josh Rodriguez Back

How long will it be until Pirates fans can "officially" scratch Cedeno on the wall?

It’s official.  As we discussed last week, Josh Rodriguez is now a Cleveland Indian once again.  Rodriguez will be tearing it up for their Columbus team in AAA.

In December, the Pirates wrote a $50,000 check to Cleveland to make Rodriguez the first overall pick in the Rule 5 Draft.  He had one hit in 12 at-bats with the Bucs, a dribbled infield single.  In AAA last season, Rodriguez showed some pop with 12 bombs and 23 doubles in 86 games with the Clippers.

The Tribe paid the Pirates $25,000 to get him back on the roster.
