Clint Hurdle heads back to Colorado. The Rockies must be licking their chops. They are rested and look to improve on one of the best records in MLB.

The Rockies are the media darlings in SI.

AAA Indy lost as Rudy Owens gave up six runs on nine hits in 5.2 innings. He allowed two bombs, threw 92 pitches, 60 for strikes. Alex Presley and Andrew Lambo with hits.

AA Altoona lost in Harrisburg with the only offense coming from Quincy Latimore’s two homers. Q is now hitting .242. Michael Colla got the loss after giving up two runs in four innings. In his AA debut, Matt McSwain gave up four runs and allowed four hits, two walks.

At Single A Bradenton, Calvin Anderson hit his fourth bomb in a shortened Marauders win.

Single A West Virginia split against Hagerstown with a continued 14-2 victory and a 3-2 loss in the nightcap when they mustered eight singles. Matt Curry is still hitting over .400.

Jameson Taillon is happy it’s over.

“When I miss up the ball tends to flatten out…”
