Looking for pitching help in Indianapolis?

It’s not easy to find.  Sean Gallagher is still struggling as a starter in Indianapolis. He threw 90 pitches, 52 for strikes and allowed five earned in five innings. In his two previous starts Gallagher has pitched 3.2 innings and gave up 5 earned runs, 4.0 innings and gave up 7 earned runs.

Starling Marte hit a solo homerun in the fourth inning, but the Curve allowed a 2-1 lead to disappear in the sixth and could never regain the lead. Starter Jeff Locke went five innings on 87 pitches, 48 for strikes. Locke walked four, struckout one, allowed four hits and just one earned run.

We wanted you to see the box score from the other day in case you missed it, the Curve struckout ten times, but received some solid pitching from Aaron Pribanic and the bullpen to preserve the victory.

Especially impressive was Tim Alderson who has pitched in eight games throwing 15.1 innings.  He has allowed eleven hits, two earned runs and struck out 15 while walking six.

West Virginia went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and lost to Augusta 4-1. Zack Von Rosenberg pitched six innings, struckout six, allowed four earned runs and two homers.

Bradenton got rocked.

Quinton Miller allowed ten hits and eight earned runs in five innings pitched.   Miller struckout one and walked one.  On the season Miller has thrown 24.1 innings allowed 41 hits and 27 earned runs.  He has struckout nine and walked seven.
