Pirates Charlie Morton Looks To Snap Bucs Streak In New York

facebooktwitterreddit

It shouldn’t be surprising that the Pirates have never won at Citi Field.

Charlie Morton will change all of that tonight.  Morton has barely allowed any runs in his last three starts.

When one considers that the New York Mets arms have to be tired after all those hits against the Phillies yesterday, we love the Pirates chances at breaking the NY losing streak.

The Bucs can break another streak with a win over the Mets own Mr. Perfect, Dillon Gee (4-0, 3.83) who goes to the bump for his seventh start.  The Mets are looking to break a powerless streak as they haven’t homered in nine games.

The right-handed Gee has moved between the rotation and the bullpen this season for New York. In his last start he allowed four runs, three hits and two walks in the first inning against the Cubs.  Gee settled in and stopped the bleeding and gave the Mets an opportunity to win by pitching five scoreless innings including sitting down 16 of the final 18 Cubbies in a 7-4 Mets victory.

Another streak to be busted in New York is Neil Walker’s hitless streak.  Walker is 0-for-14 at Citi Field.

Justin is a Phillies fan, sucking up to Mets fans?  Yeh he is a strange dude, but his story on Mets owner Fred Wilp0n is another solid article.  The Mets suck.  The Phillies suck.  Justin doesn’t suck.

The worst ever…nothing can top this by New York.
