Want to know something about Kevin Correia?

Sure he is winning a bunch of baseball games on the road. You know that.  But what you might not know that his agent is a former teammate from his youth.

And of course he was a surfing buddy too, Chris Springfield.

Tonight in New York the Pirates will send Correia back to the mound to work on getting yet another road win.  Correia has pitched 46 innings away from PNC Park and allowed just 12 earned runs while holding the bad guys to a .209 average.  On the season Correia is 7-4 with a 3.44ERA.

The Mets send Chris Capuano.  Wow.  This left hander seriously had to get picked on growing up with a name like that.  Wow.  An ex-Brewers pitcher deserves every second.

This season Crapuano has been very hittable at 10.4/9 in his nine starts.

Matt Diaz is hitting .205 against lefties this season.  Garrett Jones (1-for-15 on this trip)  is on Clint Hurdle’s hot seat.  The Pirates just aren’t getting much production from RF.

Nice:

Neal Walker snapped an 0-for-18 on Friday and has six knocks in 19 ABs since.

Andrew McCutchen has really been hot with Pirates in scoring position of late.  He has nine knocks in last 22 ABs in those clutch situations.
