Pirates Promote Chase d’Arnaud

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today that Josh Harrison will be sent to AAA and Chase d’Arnaud will be promoted to the big leagues.  A roster move is expected to be announced tomorrow.

d’Arnaud deserved the call.  Check out his stats which show he has cooled in the past ten games after being on a tear.

Don’t expect great defense from him, he has a solid average glove, but like we wrote in Spring Training, he is a very smart player.   We trust he hits the shit out of the ball.
