Joel Hanrahan continued his streak. The Pittsburgh Pirates closer has had 24 save opportunities this season. He has closed each of those games by shaking the hand of the Pirates long list of catchers.
If you go back to last season, Hanrahan’s save streak is at 26.
James McDonald had a strong start yesterday afternoon and just like he has all season, Hanrahan made it stand up for a Pirates starter.
Looking at Hanrahan in the past 30 games, Hanrahan has saved one third of the games for the Bucs striking out 12 bad guys in 13.2 innings. We told you he wasn’t human.
