The Pittsburgh Pirates closer Joel Hanrahan is still working on perfection with 24 saves in 24 opportunities. The work the right hander has done has not gone unnoticed as today his peers awarded the Iowa native with his first All-Star selection.
Before the Pirates began their destruction of the Washington Nationals today, Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said this about his closer.
“Hanrahan is a layup for me.”If you want a guy who is dynamic at the end of a game, he’s your guy.”
The Hanranator might be the only Pirates player fans see on July 12 at Phoenix’s Chase Field. Let’s trust he makes it perfect.
