It looks like Kevin Correia will be named to the NL All-Star team. Close the shop.

Pirates Kevin Correia IS an All-Star

Pittsburgh Pirates Kevin Correia was the sixth pitcher selected on the players ballot. Check out what was said in the SF Gate.

Two starters, Cain and the Phillies’ Cole Hamels, will have to be replaced because they are scheduled to start the Sunday before the All-Star Game. Bochy will get to pick the replacement for Cain, but because Hamels was chosen on the players’ ballot he’ll be replaced by the first starter who did not make the cut on the players’ ballot, Kevin Correia. That is a happy development for Bochy, who has known Correia since the pitcher was a kid and hung around with Bochy’s son.

Very cool news for Correia and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
