Pirates Evan Meek Sight for Sore Arms

Evan Meek checks his phone after he started today for the Bradenton Marauders.

Pittsburgh Pirates 2010 All-Star Evan Meek pitched in a baseball game yesterday.  Yeh, a real, live game.  It happened in Bradenton, Florida.

Meek threw an inning of scoreless baseball.  He allowed a hit and struckout a batter.

I’m not a doctor and didn’t sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I have to think this is good news.  Surely the Pirates wouldn’t allow him to hail a cab if his arm was still bothering the flame throwing reliever.

Shoulder tendinitis or torn labrum, whatever you would like to call it, if Meek is healthy, truly healthy and his old flame throwing self…. when can he get to PNC Park?

We have no idea why Meek would be pitching if he is hurting, but heh, it’s his arm.  How long until he gets to PNC Park?
