Pittsburgh Pirates starter Jeff Karstens has had a surprisingly strong season for the Bucs. But it was his performance off the field that got Karstens picked by by his teammates to be the Pirates’ nominee for the Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award.
The distinguished award acknowledges player performance on the field and service in the community.
