The Pirates

season continues in a death spiral after a 15-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Hurdle talked about a disconnect in the post-game video from the PG.   The Dodgers didn’t have any problem connecting at the plate as Matt Kemp lasered his 34th home run, James Loney drove in five runs and Jerry Sands had four hits, including a missiled three-run home run.

Pirates starting pitchers allowed 14 runs in the final three games of the Dodgers series.  The starters pitched a whopping total of 7.2 innings.  Yeah – all three of them.

The video from the locker room in which Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said the team isn’t playing well:

With the win, the Dodgers got back to .500 for the season. Remember when it appeared that the Pirates would be there this year?

Brad Lincoln got rocked – and by the time he was pulled from the game, his neck had to hurt from ducking the laser shots hit back through the middle. Lincoln gave up six runs and got just five outs.

Hurdle said the team must perform better in Arizona.  Yeah, that would be important. Ya think?
