Pittsburgh Pirates Gerrit Cole Scouting Report Video from ESPN

Could Pittsburgh Pirates top pick Gerrit Cole be in the big leagues in 2012? We don’t think so. In fact, we would say there is virtually no chance Cole reaches the majors next season.
But it is mentioned by Jason Grey as a possiblity in this video of Cole working in his first game in the Arizona Fall League. Grey says 2013 is more likely.
We can only pray that Cole gets his mechanics together and piles up some innings this fall.

is a graduate of the MLB Scouting Bureau’s Scout Development Program and has won two Tout Wars titles, one LABR title and numerous other national “experts” competitions.

Grossman has been a pleasant surprise for me at the AFL. We knew he was patient, but he can hit and has more pop than I expected. Think he has a chance to be a decent big league starter or barring that a very good fourth OF.
