Could Pittsburgh Pirates top pick Gerrit Cole be in the big leagues in 2012? We don’t think so. In fact, we would say there is virtually no chance Cole reaches the majors next season. But it is mentioned by Jason Grey as a possiblity in this video of Cole working in his first game in the Arizona Fall League. Grey says 2013 is more likely. Gerrit Cole had an impressive first inning the other day. AZBF captured the action for all of us Pittsburgh Pirates fans. It’s fastball city from Cole which is understandable. It’s also understandable why he gets knocked out in the third. Wow–big crowd.
