We aren’t going to get real excited if Albert Pujols leaves the St. Louis Cardinals. 

     Nick Evans has signed a minor league deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Aaron Cook spent his entire career with the Colorado Rockies.  He has had a pile of things go wrong in his life, but that’s for another time. In Aaron Cook’s last nine starts (three road games) for the Colorado Rockies, the sinkerballing right hander allowed seven homers, 36 earned runs and pitched 45.1 innings or about five innings per start. Why would the Pirates be interested in Cook?  A.   The Pirates can fix all sinkerballers, no matter how mechanically unsound the player might be. We enjoy watching some of the Pittsburgh Pirates in action during the winter months.  But we couldn’t help notice during the streams of the winter league games, the cameraman (we assume) is fascinated with females in attendance. Finally some really good news

  Toros

It was bound to happen sooner or later, after all, Jose Diaz was pitching out of his mind for Dean Treanor’s Toros.  The big right hander had only allowed one hit all season. Last night the run ended as the Toros clung to a one-run lead in a battle for the top spot in the Dominican.  Diaz couldn’t get it done as he allowed two hits, a walk and three runs against Aguilas who grabbed a 5-2 victory and a one game lead over the Toros in the standings.

So who the hell is Jose Diaz you ask?
