What the hell does that mean??? I remember when he destroyed for the Cubs a few years back- but I only saw him catch once in Spring Training. I remember he went on a hot streak a couple of years ago and everybody was talking about him being a solid everyday player and breakout guy with the A's. The cooler heads looked at his advanced stats and were like, "Nah, this guy ain't that good." Fox's awful defense- who cares how many positions he can play if he plays them all bad- doesn't exactly make him more valuable. He's a decent player to take a chance on, especially if your a team like the Pirates. It might work out, but it probably won't. Still, there's really nothing to lose, and it's a minor risk worth taking. I mean, what if he does end up like Bautista? Wouldn't that be sweet revenge.
