The Pittsburgh Pirates Christmas Wishlist Countdown: Clint Hurdle

Christmas

is one of our favorite times of the year.  Most of the pain of the recent Pirates season has passed by the time December and the Winter Meetings roll around.

Considering the 2011 Pittsburgh Pirates season was especially depressing considering the first place to fallout outcome, we wanted to do something special this season.  Everyone knows that the Pirates will not act like Santa Claus this week.  There won’t be a big brand new free agent pitcher that everyone would love, or that first baseman who might eat a little too much, but would devour the pitching of the opposition at PNC Park.

So at RumBunter, we are left to amusing ourselves with a stupid Christmas Countdown.  Of couse,  our Christmas list is quite long this year for the Pittsburgh Pirates. We hope to randomly add some of the Christmas wish list items for you here each day. Checking in at number 25 on our list is an item for Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle.

The book has been around for 70 years and is just a few bucks on Amazon.  Maybe it can help him catch up to a few of his young talented players from his days with the  Texas Rangers, because all of these Colorado Rockie veterans are getting a bit old.
