MLB Network: Pirates Will Have First Winning Season Since 1992

How nice would this be in 2012 for the Pirates?

Imagine our surprise when we were watching the MLB Network last night and the Pittsburgh Pirates came up as a topic surrounding the departure of Prince Fielder from the NL Central.  It’s rare the Pirates have a mention in national media, let alone such a bold prediction, so we will take it, even if one of the comments was, ‘heh, the wins have to go somewhere.’

Greg Amsinger was the person who made the prediction.  Former big leaguer Dan Plesac said he would go there if Pedro Alvarez has a bounceback 2012 season.

Hat tip to Kristy Robinson for the tweet pic

I Like IT!!! With Pujols and Feilder gone and Braun likley out for 50 games this division is wide open. One more Pitcher would make me feel alot better!! OR maybe a power bat at first.
