Pirates Second Annual Bunt Tournament Injuries Mounting

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced that right hander A.J. Burnett was injured during the pitchers bunt tournament today. He fouled a ball off of his face. The Bucs said Burnett is scheduled to travel later tonight to Pittsburgh, where he will have additional medical examinations on his right eye.

It’s all fun and games until A.J. Burnett loses an eye.

UPDATE:  The Pirates also reported that Daniel Cabrera has tightness in his right forearm and is day-to-day. We can only guess it was from the bunt tournament or pitching.
