Pirates at Blue Jays, Spring Training Game One

The Pittsburgh Pirates get their 2012 Grapefruit League

season underway today in Dunedin at the Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.

We have a feeling the Pirates DH Jake Fox is going to go deep today. It’s interesting to see Yamaico Navarro in the five hole. Wait, no it’s not.

The Pirates have some interesting arms on the mound today. I am really looking forward to hearing how James McDonald starts off the GL season. Chris Leroux, Ryota Igarashi, and Juan Cruz also are intriguing to us.

Ray Searage brought up three pitchers on an interview with the Fan yesterday. They were in order, Justin Wilson was immediately out of Searage’s mouth and he mentioned a mechanical adjustment made with Wilson. Searage then said Tony Watson was looking strong. Watson will be the third pitcher today. Finally, Juan Cruz was mentioned as a pitcher who is all business.
