The Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Batltimore

Orioles today in Grapefruit League action.

Rod Barajas is out of the lineup. His wife had their seventh child Kristy Robinson just tweeted. Wow. Seven. We have one and it’s a lot.

The Pirates destroyed the Orioles last time out, so it’s interesting to see another solid Bucco lineup today. Perhaps, Clint is thinking like we are that a win would be a great feeling today. Just because, you know?

Also scheduled to pitch today will be closer Joel Hanrahan who has been untouchable–see if I can jinx him like I’ve been doing to most everyone this spring when I mention them in our gameday post. Jason Grilli, Shairon Martis, and Jared Hughes will also pitch. Evan Meek who most everyone will be watching very carefully is on the schedule. Is Meek really back? Can he be the pitcher he was two years ago? Stay tuned. I know I will be.

The Orioles scare the hell out of me. We thought they would be better by now. Good Lord. Nick Markakis will make his O’s spring debut today as the designated hitter. Ronnie Paulino has a shot at the job as backup to the great Matt Weiters. Wow.
