Pittsburgh Pirates right handed pitcher A.J. Burnett allowed eight hits and five runs in 1.2 innings Wednesday night. Burnett was making his second rehab start for the Bradenton Marauders. The high A Palm Beach Cardinals went down in order in the first inning, but the second was a different story as 13 batters came to the plate.
The Cardinals chased Burnett after a nine-run second inning. The good news? Burnett did get five outs—four of them were whiffs.
