Tony Sanchez has a new heart, on his left leg

Pittsburgh Pirates Catching Prospect Tony Sanchez Loves Baseball, Has Heart To Prove It

Tony Sanchez has been getting a lot of buzz lately, with his five game hitting streak. With the Pittsburgh Pirates catching woes, many of you have been asking about the Buccos first rounder.

Sanchez is starting to heat up for AA Altoona as he has seven hits (with three doubles) in his last 22 at-bats during his hitting streak.  Last night after Curve teammate Brock Holt homered, Sanchez stepped into the box and was promptly beaned in the left leg.   Ouch.

The Pirates catcher of the future has been getting some twitter love lately. Here are some of the highlights.

Tony will be just fine, remember he was hit twice in the face last year.  One of them broke his jaw.  That will take time to get over.  He is already major league ready behind the plate and all he needs is the bat to come back.
The pitching staff that NH has put togather along with Cutch, Walker [not his], Presley, Pedro,  and soon to be Marte and Sanchez looks awfully good.  Cannot forget Cole and the Italian Tallion who made a huge mistake by not sigining fast and pitched at high A and AA last year.  He would have been in the rotation this summer instead of next summer.
