Andrew McCutchen and Joel Hanrahan were named to the 2012 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. McCutchen has put up insane numbers, but it remains a question if he will play in the game. Neal Huntington said he had no concerns over McCutchen playin in the game next week.
He mentioned that McCutchen wouldn’t jeopradize his club by playing injured. Huntington said McCutchen “could go tomorrow or in a few days. We look forward to having him back in our lineup.”
Hanrahan has been one of the most effective closers in the National League and has racked up 20 saves.
The Bucs GM said that there could be a few Sunday starters who might not be able to pitch and that could get James McDonald and A.J. Burnett in the game.
