The Pittsburgh Pirates Andrew McCutchen was named National League Player of the Month for July. He is the first Pirates player to do such a feat since Bobby Bonilla.
In July McCutchen batted .446 with 41 hits which was the best in MLB. He hit seven bombs, and 15 runs batted in. He had a .510 OBP and slugged .739.
McCutchen is good.
Tom Smith grew up in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania. He has been a Pirates fan for a long time and his patience is wearing thin. Really thin.
