The Pittsburgh Pirates had some prospects on display at the New York-Penn League All-Star Game.  The annual All-Star Game was held at Mahoning Valley’s Eastwood Field, the National League team had three Pirates prospects from the State College Spikes.

The National League team ripped eleven hits, but Tyler Gaffney, Jacob Stallings, and D.J. Crumlich didn’t get to chip in with any hits as the National team blew out the American team 8-1.

Stallings and Gaffney each walked and scored in the fourth inning.  Crumlich was hitless in two at-bats.  Gaffney leads the NYPL in getting beaned with 17.  He got another one in the AS game which is always good stuff.   No idea how he is doing this, but we love it.

We saw some videos on Peck2105’s YouTube channel and posted them for you below.

First up is 2012 24th-round draft pick from Stanford, outfielder Tyler Gaffney.  He walks in his first plate appearance.  All videos from the channel of Peck2105

Here is catcher Jacob Stallings who the Pirates selected from North Carolina. In the video it’s difficult to tell how big Stallings is, the guy is a house.

D.J. Crumlich fouled out in this video. The Bucs took him with their 9th-round draft pick from UC-Irvine.
