Love the Pittsburgh Pirates? Now You Can *Buy ‘Legendary’ Seats from McKechnie Field…

The Pittsburgh Pirates almost get it.  We mean, this was really close to being cool.  But somebody needed to think this out just a bit more.  We were ready to go until we read this capitalized sentence from the Bradenton Marauders website….SPECIFIC SEATS NOT AVAILABLE.   Come on.  It got worse when we found out the seats must be “picked up at Pirate City between Dec. 17 and 19 only.”

Sorry, that’s a deal breaker for me, but we’re sure all of those diehards in Bradenton will do the right thing.

Sorry…I think we got ahead of ourselves.  The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Bradenton Marauders are selling the field seats from McKechnie Field.  For a $25 donation that goes to Pirates Charities, you can have

your favorite

a seat from the ballpark.

McKechnie Field, which opened way back in 1923 in downtown Bradenton, is getting a ten million dollar facelift that will include some new seats.   So these plastic fart grabbers gotta go.

We’re not sure about the legendary part, but whatever, here is what is written on the Marauders site:

The legendary green seats from McKechnie Field are now available for fans to purchase. For a donation to Pirates Charities of $25 each, you may take home these one-of-a-kind seats. Orders with full payment must be received by December 14th. Seats will be available for pick up at Pirate City from December 17th – 19th only. All proceeds will benefit Pirates Charities. Act now, as quantities are limited.
