We received some information today regarding MLB Network’s coverage of five Pittsburgh Pirates’ games in April. We wanted to make certain we passed the information on to you so you don’t miss any of the BUCN action this April and be certain to note this change on your TiVo or internal Pirates’ television schedule.

As you may know, there are five dates in April, beginning on April 13, where the Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins play at or near the same time. Those nights, the Penguins games will air on ROOT Sports. Since the Penguins will be on the ROOT Sports’ main channel, a special ROOT Sports production of the Pirates games will be available on MLB Network in the Pittsburgh area to give fans an opportunity to see the games.

Below is the schedule of Pirates games that will be available on MLB Network, instead of ROOT Sports, in the Pittsburgh area:

Date Time Game
Sat., April 13 7:00 p.m. Reds at Pirates
Wed., April 17 7:00 p.m. Cardinals at Pirates
Fri., April 19 7:00 p.m. Braves at Pirates
Sat., April 20 7:00 p.m. Braves at Pirates
Mon., April 22 7:00 p.m. Pirates at Phillies
