The Major League Baseball Network will be in town tonight with Bob Costas to celebrate the 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates win over the New York Yankees.  Whoever found the tapes in Bing Crosbys’ basement is getting drinks on me all night. 

Costas will be filming interviews with former players throughout the game. The interviews will be worked together into a show that will air on MLB Network’s telecast on Dec. 15. Apparently, Bing was nervous and didn’t go to the game.  The big guy was in Paris listening to Bob Prince on the radio (how the hell do you do that?) 

The 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates yearbook cover says it all.
