Unfortunately, Pirates closer Joel Hanrahan lost his Grandmother this week and will be place on the MLB bereavement list.

The Bucs turned to Daniel McCutchen to replace the Bucs closer on the roster.  McCutchen has thrown 20.2 innings at AAA Indianapolis and allowed 17 hits, five earned runs and has 13 strikeouts.

McCutchen has been red hot.  In his last 9.1 innings he has given up just three hits and allowed no earned runs while striking out five.
