The Bucs had to feel that one coming as Lee said he was going to let Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder sign a deal before he moved forward. Pardon us if we cut this short, we have some partying to do. Derrek [...]

Andrew McCutchen is back in the correct spot in the batting order. Cutch will be leading off for the Pirates tonight against the Atlanta Braves. I like the move. Ronny Cedeno and Andy LaRoche are also starting tonight for the Pirates who are attempting to get back on track and avoid going ten games under .500 prior to Memorial Day.

Neil Walker gets another start for the Pirates at second base. Andy LaRoche is back in the lineup after ripping a ball last night showed no signs of continued back discomfort for the Pirates third baseman. Garrett Jones is in right field while Bobby Crosby grabs the first basemans glove for this evening. Ryan Doumit is behind the plate again with Lastings Milledge in left field this evening in the seven hole. Ronny Cedeno picked up a lineup spot tonight at SS.

LHP Brian Burres takes his 5.40 ERA to the mound for the Pirates this evening. He is attempting to get back on track in tonight’s start as he has been banged on a little bit lately.

The Pirates have the second pick in the December Rule 5 Draft. Donnie Veal and Evan Meek were two recent Rule 5 picks the Pirates made. So I took a few minutes to take an early look around the league at who could be next for the Bucs. The Astros certainly have some talent left unprotected.
